At the corner of Noe and Market Street, next to a modernist, exposed concrete building, under a large advertising billboard sits one of the The Castro's well known fixtures.

A squat, one-story building, Cafè Flore has more than a passing resemblance to a cabin or lodge, at least it would if it were not surrounded by outdoor seating both in a garden area and along Noe Street where you'll find a mix of people reading, working at laptops, or just pretending to as they check out the other guys.

In other words, Cafè Flore is what happens when you combine a Parisian cafe with San Francisco culture.
