Fisherman's Wharf

Fisherman's Wharf is an area along the north coast of the San Francisco peninsula, between North Beach and The Marina. It is a concentration of restauarants, shops, and tourist attractions. It includes Ghirardelli Square (home to Frijts, among other things), Ripley's Believe It Or Not, In N Out, and the Alcatraz ferry.
Because of the high tourist attraction, crowded feel, and lack of truly useful stores, the wharf is largely avoided by most residents, and considered something of a Tourist Trap.
