North Beach is a region in the Northeast corner of San Francisco proper. It used to be an ethnically Italian region, but is now largely a tourist haven, and home to a large number of Italian themed restaurants.

North Beach is, however, host to some San Francisco landmarks including City Lights Bookstore and Cafe Vesuvio.
