San Francisco Zoo offers quite a lot of special and discounted admission prices. Admission is free the first wednesday of each month, and the SF Zoo offers a wide range of discounted pricing options for residents, education, groups and the disabled. The Zoo encourages taking public transit by offering a $1.00 discount with a valid Muni FastPass, or fare receipt/transef from the same day. The L-Taraval as well as the 18 and 23 bus lines service the Zoo.
