Unlike the other lines, which remain for the most part just rails laid down in traffic lanes, the T-Third Street will have it's own dedicated lanes separated by a median for all but a few block of Bayview's commercial district. Among it's many firsts, this is the only line to have elevated platforms at all 28 of it's stations.

Starting January 13th, 2007 until April 7, the T-Third Street line will run on weekends only between 10:00am until 7:00pm during which time it will be free to ride south of the Caltrain Depot.
The weekend-only service offers residents along the Third Street and Bayshore corridor to test drive the new service and allows Muni to work out the kinks in coordination and timing between the T-Line and the other five Muni Metro Linesbefore full service begins. No other service changes will be made during the introductory period.
Full T-Third Street service will begin on April 7, 2007.
The line will run between the new Sunnydale Station and Castro Station with one-car train service about every 9 minutes peak and 12 minutes off peak. When the T-Third Street line opens both the Castro Shuttle and 15-Third Street bus line will be discontinued. Other route changes will go into effect at this point as well including expantion of the 9X to Fisherman's Wharf and full time opperation.
Muni's Third Street information page has a map and details of the changes.
The inbound/outbound terminology is also being replaced with the more useful and accurate terms Downtown (inbound) and Southbound (outbound).
From it southern terminal towards downtown, the T-Third Street makes the following stops. Only preferred BART transfer stations are called out to avoid information overload. All stations have elevated platforms and are fully accessible.
Bayshore Station - A one station extension from Sunnydale to connect with Caltrain.
